I have been contacted multiple times by an organization United Legal Discharge, Academic Aid Center , and another one concerning loan forgiveness. The approach is through a class action lawsuit against Grand Canyon University because of wrongdoings. I attended GCU and got a Master's Degree from them, but ended up with a $48,000 debt for the degree. Obviosly I had no idea that my students debt would be that much! Are the claims by these people real that because of the lawsuit my debt can be forgiven? It would be awesome if I didn't have to spend the next 30 years paying on a students loan!

None of those companies are lawyers, and given that it doesn't sound like you've discussed your concerns with them (i.e. they reached out to you), there is no way to know if you have a legal case against your school.

In general, these companies are known as document preparation services - you pay them a fee to help you fill out documents related to your student loan debt. Learn about them, and how to avoid scams, here: https://thecollegeinvestor.com/16429/is-your-student-loan-repayment-company-a-scam/
