I am 65 yrs old, self-employed (owe federal taxes for 3 yrs), am supporting my adult/autistic son and myself. I am a social worker and have worked 10 months for the Navy, some non-profit work and always served people who are disabled--accepting Medicaid and Medicare for payment for my services. Is there any way to get any of my loans forgiven (they are all with Fed Loan Servicing)? I am currently in forbearance but am trying to do what I can to pay back.
