So I signed up with Premier Student Center and they consolidated my loans, my loans used to be with Nelnet but they consolidated it and it is now with Fedloan. So I just realized that I have been scammed I had to pay $900 within a span of 3 months and now they told me if I wanted to be apart of the Premier Plus Membership and pay $10/month for 240 months, then in the end all of my loans will be forgiven. Is there anyway to get the money I paid back? What can I tell my bank? How can I prove it was a scam? Also they $10/month they are charging me is to keep my account active because I guess each year I have to file papers to keep on being on a $0 payment plan. Can you please help me figure out what to do?

This is the website for the company that scammed me!

Remember, there is a big difference between a scam and paying for a service you don't need. While we've never heard of this company, in general, you don't have to pay for anything related to your Federal student loans. If you want to cancel, you need to read what your contract said to do. Many times you just tell them to cancel.

If you're concerned you were mislead, you can file a complaint with the CFPB here: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint/
Or with your state's attorney general.
