Hi,

I was recently mailed a letter from Ufi student loans that informed me I can lower may student loan payments and rate by signing up with U Fi Student Loans; their services include refinancing my loan. To apply, I need to give my personal information e.g. address, date of birth, social security number, annual gross income, etc. I just want to make sure this is a legit agency before disclosing my information. Help!

U-Fi is a legit student loan refinancing company, but they specialize in private student loans. If you have Federal loans, and the refinance them, you will end up with private loans and lose any benefits your loan may offer.

If you want to know your options for refinancing, check out our free comparison tool (U-Fi is included in the tool): https://thecollegeinvestor.com/student-loan-refinancing-tool/
