Is this company 1file org legit? I'm feeling kind of skeptic about it. They say everything they do will come back to me from Fedloan.. 😐😐😐

They are a document preparation company. All they do is fill out paperwork for you, which may or may not work for your situation. They also charge you a huge fee, but you didn't share what it was (my guess is $599, but it could be higher).

Yes, you will hear everything back from FedLoan because this company simply sends the documents you fill out to them. Just a middleman. You could simply call FedLoan yourself and do it yourself for free...

I saw an advertisement on FB about student loan forgiveness. I clicked on the ad and it took me to an article claiming that they're an organization where they help eligible students to either lower their student loan debts and/or see if they qualify for student loan forgiveness where I wouldn't have to pay my student loans back after a total of service fee of $1199 (4 payments) and then $39/ month afterwards for 3 years. Then after that 3 years, all my student loans would be wiped out clean. I told the guy that it's too good to be true and he agrees; however informed me that they have been doing this for a couple years now and has been successful. He also said that I would have 5 days from my phone call to pay the first $299.75 to ensure my place for the student loan forgiveness program. So I gave him all my information and proceed. I receive all the electronic documents that stated exactly what he told me on the phone. After explaining this amazing news to my husband, I felt a little weird. Weird as in.... is this a scam? Is this legit? After researching for the company and reading a lot of mixed reviews of the company... I still don't know if this is a scam. I would like some help ASAP because they're planning to automatically withdrawal the first payment on Monday 11/21/2016.  :'(

Without knowing anything about your loan situation, it's hard to say what this company is actually offering you.

What program are they putting you in? Who are you paying this $39/mo fee to - your lender or this company?

For reference, there are no forgiveness programs that are 3 years. The shortest program is Public Service Loan Forgiveness, and it's 10 years or 120 payments. Here's a list of the Federal loan forgiveness programs: https://thecollegeinvestor.com/578/ways-to-get-student-loan-forgiveness/

There are also repayment programs that have forgiveness as part of them, and you can learn about them here: https://thecollegeinvestor.com/11856/secret-student-loan-forgiveness/

Finally, remember that anything to do with your Federal loans can be done for free by calling your own loan servicer or going online to StudentLoans.gov. Read about that here: https://thecollegeinvestor.com/16429/is-your-student-loan-repayment-company-a-scam/
